Raw Milk Yogurt 2.0
This is my new and revised edition of raw milk yogurt.
Homemade raw, unpasteurized, yogurt is one of my favorite snacks for me and the kids.
This recipe I make is the most mild in flavor…I love eating it plain! No sugar needed!
Toss in some homemade granola, bananas and berries and you’ve got a meal.
Here’s my ridiculously easy instructions:
Warm up 1 gallon raw milk to 110 degrees Fahrenheit (nope not pasteurized, warming just helps the cultures to do their thing)
Add 1 packet of yogurt cultures & let stand for 2 minutes
Stir
Pour into glass jars and cap.
Immediately put each jar that is filled into the yogurt bag to keep the 110 temperature.
Once all jars are filled and placed in yogurt bag, close up the bag with the pillow and let set for 8 hrs.
Additional tips that are super helpful:
Have your jars, lid, funnel, and yogurt bag ready.
You want to be as quick as possible to keep your temperatures at 110 for the cultures.
That’s it!
I just made two batches last week and they turned out delicious!
You can also use your instant pot, stove/water bath…I personally don’t use those methods so I can’t say what that’s like! : P
I’m gunna go eat me some of my yogurt now!
xoxo,
